Welcome to the photographic portfolio of me, Ray Thrupp.
My interest in photography started as a means to record events that shape one’s life. Moments in time,
travel, experiences, family and friends, bringing about a visual diary.
The passion for photography has led me to be recognised internationally for outstanding achievements
by the International Society of Photographers, from whom I had received a number of awards.
My purpose in photography is to deliver a quality product that is pleasing, capturing the occasion, triggering
senses, sometimes bringing more questions as to a person’s passage in life.
The images on this site are examples of photography which create an environment for candid, natural and beautiful images using available light.
The travel images are from journeys experienced in Australia, New Zealand, China, Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia, Indo-China and the Indian subcontinent.
Many have chosen images from the travel gallery as wall art to adorn their homes and places of business.
I am proud and find it pleasing when I receive comments such as the following:

If I see something which moves me, I don’t hesitate to capture the moment as I feel it. For me these are the incredible opportunities that make a good photograph, they are what I live for. As the shutter is pressed, there is nothing else but the vision through the lens.
I highly recommend the experiences of travel as a means of personal growth. It’s the human aspect of
travel that is the most memorable, experiences that money just can’t buy. Priceless!
